Sean Maloney – Meat Loaf
Sean brings a truly unique ‘Meat Loaf Experience’ to Pencnwc. With tremendous care he ensures that the sound, lighting and costumes are all first class and it’s no wonder that he makes waves on the ‘tribute’ circuit
All of the hits are faithfully and powerfully recreated, utilizing professional backing tracks. If you only see one Meat Loaf tribute, make sure it’s this one!
Wendy Kane
A Welsh icon, probably the most sensational vocal and comedy star to come out of Wales. If you’ve heard of her, you’ll know EXACTLY what to expect of this blonde dynamo! We’ve booked her for our strictly adult night so, if you’re easily offended, don’t come!!
Ttoria
These girls are probably one of the most successful female groups in the UK and Europe and they rock too! Sexy costumes and dance routines make Ttorria visually stunning. They have fabulous voices and their three part harmonies are amazing! They share a very strong bond and deliver all their songs with humour and wit. The songs range from Rock, Pop, Swing, Musicals and R'n'B; all with the TT Ladies Twist. Ttoria are three very beautiful and talented young women that I know Pencnwc will enjoy!
Craig John
Craig’s been coming here for a lot of years and its because he’s good! We ALL love a bit of Queen and Craig delivers, time after time. If you love Queen, you’ll love Craig!
Hannah
It was Hannah’s first year at Pencnwc last year. She was a replacement and, to be honest, she turned out to be a lot better than the act we’d booked! She has a terrific voice with a great personality so we’ve booked her for at least two nights in 2006!
Mike Solo
Prepare for Mike Solo's tribute to Elvis - a journey back through time and for most of us the closest we will ever get to seeing The King!
For the past 10 years, Mike has performed professionally to audiences worldwide capturing the amazement and excitement of Elvis Aaron Presley.
The show features many of the classic Elvis tracks all delivered with Mike's extremely accurate voice and moves. Mike has also appeared on radio & television working alongside TV personalities such as Simon Cowel & Peter Waterman and released recordings with PWL & BMG.
Firebirds
Of all the acts we have had in Pencnwc, these lads have probably been THE most popular for a long time. They are one of the most professional bands on the circuit, with the tightest sound and some of the best harmonies you’ll hear in ANY venue.
Even though they’ve only been with us twice, they’re already a firm Pencnwc favourite! It’s a night to remember, with a dance floor packed to the edge all night. It doesn’t matter if you’re a rock and roller or not; The Firebirds will blow you away!
Sandra Lee
We first saw Sandra towards the end of 2004 and liked what we saw. Since then, she’s grown in confidence but has still kept her feet firmly on the ground.
She’s only little but her voice fills the room and the dance floor. She sings all your favourites and many more with a great deal of bubbly personality and charm.
James Stone
James was a substitute act in 2005 and was a HUGE success in spite of a room expecting a male and female duo! He blew us away with his incredible voice and his highly original (and sexy, apparently) dance moves! He brings a unique style to old favourites and delivers them all with a great passion. With the E-maculate boys on the following night, this really is the PERFECT Soul weekend!
E-maculate
E-Maculate are the ultimate soul/Motown tribute band. Their show is totally live with drums, base, guitar, keyboards and saxophone, which provide superb backing. Sounds from Wilson Pickett, Four Tops and many more soul/Motown greats
There are a lot of bands out there playing soul music…there are very few to play them to this standard. All the instruments are live, all the vocals are dynamic! One of the few bands that enjoy performing as much as you’ll enjoy watching them!
Frank Webb
Frank is a singer, pure and simple. He delivers every song with charm and style. He sings the oldies and the chart stuff with the same enthusiasm and is pretty easy on the eye….so the girls tell me!
Helen Whitney
These days having a great voice just isn’t enough. Helen grabs the audience from the very start and leaves them thoroughly entertained. A HUGE personality and a voice to match make for a perfect act.
Steve J Taylor
Steve “The Voice” Taylor. He does exactly what is says on the tin. A big personality guaranteed to have your feet tapping from start to finish.
Steve doesn’t just sing AT the crowd though, he sings TO them. His warmth fills the room every time he comes to Pencnwc.
Ian Lockyer
A guitar, a mandolin and even a bouzouki are all played with great warmth by Ian Lockyer. He plays lots of instantly recognizable string favourites like Zorba’s Dance and even a spirited Donald, Where’s Yer Troosers to sing along to.
For all the talent, if Ian weren’t a nice bloke it’d come across on stage...but he is…and it does!
Teaze
Jo Wright has worked with us for the last couple of years and has gone down very well…so, we wanted her back. This year, however, we have double the fun because Jo is now part of duo called Teaze. She’s joined by Becky who not only sings but plays the saxophone too!
Jo and Becky’s years of experience in the industry has given them the all round abilities to produce a highly entertaining performance for audiences of all ages. They play all the chart favourites as well as the classic pop songs of the past and it’s pretty clear the girls thoroughly enjoy performing. The have loads of energy too so that helps!
Boys Next Door
This three man Irish themed band has dedicated a full show to Celtic music, ranging from pulse racing Irish jigs of the Pogues and the Fureys to the haunting ballads of Runrig and Rod Stewart. If you’re looking for a night of fun, great music, with the emphasis on originality and flair, then this is the band for you.
Marade
A star performer with many years experience in the industry Marade has a strong personality with terrific enthusiasm for her work the ideal recipe for success. With her National Grid type energy, Marade creates a great atmosphere in any venue and always get the audience dancing! Marade performed as a backing singer for Status Quo during their Back To Their Rootstour and has played The Mayfair, Newcastle at The Equity annual bash as well as many other high profile venues around the UK.
Karl Svensen
I think Karl is the UK’s, best Neil Diamond tribute and I’ve seen a few over the years! He’s one of those “close your eyes and it’s him” singers that we love SO very much at Pencnwc!
You know all the songs; Song Sung Blue, Love On The Rocks, Hello, America, Sweet Caroline. Now listen to how they SHOULD sound as their sung by our favourite Neil Diamond.
Elwood & Jake
A cult film, a multi-million-selling soundtrack album, and a smash hit West-End musical. The characters created by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as part of the Saturday Night Live show back in the late 70s have become so popular that Jake and Elwood Blues have become a part of contemporary culture. If you are a fan of the original film, of soul and blues music, this show will definitely appeal to you.
Paul Christie
A superb all round entertainer featuring dynamics vocals, together with first class comedy material.
We’ve not seen Paul before but I’ve heard great things from a lot of other venues and really looking forward to seeing him work.
Atomic Jones
Glen Leon has been impersonating Tom Jones for the past six years and has been described by Tony Blackburn as "The closest voice you will ever hear to Tom Jones". By popular request Atomic Jones returns to Pencnwc to belt out all the Welsh Wonder's finest melodies from, it's Not Unusual, The Green Green Grass Of Home and Delilah through to more current hits like Sex Bomb and You can Leave Your Hat On.
Show your appreciation ladies, bring your most intimate garments and throw them on to the stage. Don’t fight it, you know you want to!!
Eve
We saw Eve on New Years Day and she blew the room away! Her version of the Welsh National Anthem had every hair on the back of every neck standing on end!
Eve first started performing at the age of 16 when she accidentally stumbled onto a performing arts course at Swansea college, after originally wanting to study midwifery.
At the age of eighteen, she successfully auditioned for the National Youth Theatre which resulted in a performance at Worcester Cathedral, sponsored by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. She has been awarded the Wales and Midlands "ACT OF THE YEAR" for 5 consecutive years and is currently organizing a touring show.
Rob Reynolds
Rob was one of the most popular performers at Pencnwc last year. On the night in he worked here the room was quiet but we were all stunned by Rob’s uncanny vocals and looks. He presents his tribute to The King with tremendous accuracy and passion. The show covers songs from the Memphis year’s right through to Elvis's final years in Vegas. You have to see it and hear it to believe it.
STATUS QUO
Strictly Quo are here and here to stay. One of the UK’s best tribute acts to the number one rock and roll band in the land – Status Quo! If it’s no nonsense, heads down rock and roll you want then look no further. Formed in South Wales in 1998, Strictly Quo are now thrashing their way through Quo's classic hits like Caroline, Paper Plane, Rain, Whatever You Want, and of course Rockin' All Over The World.
Having been musicians and Quo fans from a really young age Strictly Quo now sound and look like them re-creating the best band that ever was and still is !
P.P. & The Floorshakers
PP and the Floorshakers are an act who perform the perfect live party set for us at Pencnwc. With their authentic sound, exceptional harmonies and rocking stage show, they create an exciting, FLOORSHAKING performance.
The band have been working their way around the country, playing all the top venues so it’s no surprise that they’ve finally made it round to us!
This LIVE band live up to their name with a rousing set full of raw energy party songs! Songs like Sweet Soul Music, Soul Man, Higher and Higher and Dancing In The Streets will make sure we all party hard til the end of the night! If there is a better band for our end of season party, I’ve not seen them yet!
